Relaxin'

This was another painting I did for the fundraiser, I thought these types of paintings would be more of what investors and adults would want in their homes. So, there you have it.

Sailin'

I painted this one for a fundraiser.

The Thinker

This was a simple painting I did to pass the time. I thought it had some appeal.

Jack Wakes Up

I've been wanting to do a LOST painting for a long time now, so I decided I would go with the opening scene. To paint this one all I did was put in the DVD of the first season and paused it on my TV. I just kept looking back and forth, screen to screen, until it was finished, It almost looks just like the video (I'm proud of myself). So, if you love LOST like I do, then you should enjoy this.

Palm Sunset

Although this painting looks easy, I assure you it was not. The clouds made me want to kill myself....I may not ever take on clouds like this again, or maybe I will and master the style, who knows.

Crouching Jedi, Hidden Sith

This is simply a painting I did of a Jedi...I've always loved Star Wars and have never done a painting to represent one of my favorite movies...so...here it is

African Sunset

I was going to do this painting with full color but after I completed my block in sketch I thought the shapes looked so good I just left them alone and made it a sunset.

Tangled Re-Creation

I just recently saw the movie "Tangled" and I loved the design through out the movie. I thought to myself..."I can do something like that!"...so I got some reference online, found this picture or the lead male and decided to recreate it. The only thing I recreated was the sketch of the character everything else is me.

Quetzal

I was working on a freelance job doing some design stuff for this company and the owner asked if I had ever heard of this bird before. Of course I hadn't, so he asked me to do a painting for him of this bird and this is how it came out...I Think it looks pretty good...I really took to the greens and blues in this bird. If you want to know about this bird, the story is really quite cool, you should check it out....google it!

Mine Shafted

This is a follow up painting to "The Mine Shaft". I have to say, I'm starting to take a new look at these silhouette pieces and finding myself loving them more and more

The Last Night

This was a painting that I started on the last night I spent on St.John Island. Although I only started it there the picture was clear inside my head...also I took some snapshots of it. I feel that it came out to my liking. I was really into the color pallet for the painting, plus the contrast, shapes and composition were pretty awesome as well. As for the picture above. I took a photo of someone standing and implemented a painterly style over the top of the image. I feel that it adds a life to the painting that isnt there on the first one, even-though I like the first one more.

Trunk Bay, St.John USVI

I went on one of the best vacations with my babeface and on the third day we stumbled upon this beach and I thought "Hey!, since Im sun burned, I think I'll sit in the shade and paint, instead of letting the sun destroy my skin." And this is what I did.....I know its not the best composition, but It was the only place that was plat and in the shade.

The Golfer

The Road Home

When I sat down at my computer I had planed on doing a cartoon style western painting and this is what I did instead.....go figure.

The Mine Shaft

I was board and was watching showtime on my day off and this really crappy movie came on called "Sorority Row" and there was this scene in it...I liked the composition so much I paused it and sketched it on a napkin. After watching this huge pile of crap of a movie I sat down with my photoshop and this is what came of it...I think its kinda cool..It reminds me of a 1980's alien movie called "Invaders from Mars". Anyhow.....hope you like it.

Andromeda AFB16

I designed this base as a thumbnail sketch. It was just a design idea done for one of the game creation groups at my school. I liked the original design so much I decided to do a concept painting for my portfolio....ENJOY!!!

Digital Sketches

This was an assignment for a Renaissance class, we had to do rough sketches of famous art that we liked, I chose these four. There will be more to follow.

Vindicated Logo

This is a quick thumbnail logo I did for one of my friends companies, I dont know if they're going to use it or not, but if they do I will do a fully rendered version of it

"The Prophet and the Pharaoh"

This is a book called "The Prophet and the Pharaoh" by Carol Corwin. I designed the cover for her and Westbow Press. I thought by doing the cover with 2 images representing the time in which this book took place would make a simple yet interesting composition.

This is a map I did for the inside of the book as well. I thought this was kind of fun seeing as I have never created a map before.

"The Good The Bad and The Limited Animation"

This was a design I was working on for RED GIANT. I wanted something that looked cartoony but represented that 1960's style for westerns.

The D-Vice

This is the Final version of the painting...I really didnt know what I wanted to do for the background, so I decided to keep it simple!
I can find you using my new GPS tracking system!

Old Abandoned Zoo in LA

This composition was a little hard for me. First, I just did a simple line drawing to set up the comp. Second, I blocked in all the shapes on different layers so I could lock the layer and paint them individually. Third, I did my best to match the hues and values. Fourth I added flavor, that you have to do on your own

Sunset Beach

When I set out to do this painting, I didn't know what I wanted to do. All I knew was that I wanted to do a beach painting. So, I started looking up reference like any good artist would do. I went through a couple of books that I own and decided I wanted to do a Hans Bacher type BG, something in the style of old school Disney concept design. How it came out? Thats for you to decide.

Mountain Scape

Shaddy made us do a quick study of a photo in Concept class and this is my rendition....I tried to do it in a painterly style, I think I hit the mark....I wish it was a little more Alla Prima, but what can you do? He's a master!

Tuscany, Italia

I love Italy, so naturally I had to paint a picture of a small part of its phenomenal landscapes.....enjoy!

On the Brink #3

This is the third ship in the series of ten. I wanted to use some future style buildings with a post-modern type sailboat...I dont really know how well it turned out, but I believe in the saying "Go with what you got." This painting still stems from the Stephen King book "Duma Key" but it is not a representation, its more a shout out to "Dead Calm, The Matrix and Event Horizon." I'll leave it for you to decide

The Fisherman

I painted this for a friend who really enjoys fishing and I thought he might enjoy this painting as well....it is yet to be determined

This is the 2nd image of a series of 10 that are dedicated to Stephen King's "Duma Key" book
